Last Sunday I went to Amsterdam with Sabine because we were invited to have a lunch at Remise47. As you may know I love to discover new places for having lunch or dinner – cause most of the time my friends ask me where they have to eat or having some drinks.
Remis47 is part of the “Hotel de Hallen” so it’s really close to the “Food Hallen” in Amsterdam. It’s the perfect hotspot for a healthy breakfast, a quick lunch or maybe a place to catch up with friends, have some drinks and a dinner. You can savour classic French and international modern dishes, and the design is a little bit urban vintage and industrial. Which I really like! Also when you like cocktails you can sit outside and enjoy them at their beautiful terrace.
As I all ready told you I was there for some lunch. So we first ordered a tea with fresh mint. I started with a tomato soup and Sabine with pumpkin soup. Normally when I’m having an lunch somewhere I almost go for the save options (if you know what I mean) this time I ordered a Pouched Egg with Salmon – which was so delicious. I was really surprised. Normally I don’t take salmon or anything like that. Sabine had the Parmaham with truffle mayonnaise. After our lunch we ordered some lovely cappuccino.
A big plus for Remise47 has the perfect interior design in the café/restaurant. It’s a little bit urban but also modern. Think of marble tables with copper details. They mix and matched everything good together. Did you know that this place was an old tramremise. It’s the place were they maintain all the trams. A little cool detail if you check the floor on the first interior picture you’ll see the old tram rails. So a little bit of history that will be untouched.
Also the staff was really kind and quick with serving the dinners. Because we want a full shot of our food, we asked if it was possible to get everything in one go also that was fine.
So Remise47 is really one of my favorite hotspots now and when you are in Amsterdam you should definitely check it out for lunch or dinner. It’s close to the Kinkerstraat in Amsterdam and like I said near to the Food Hallen.
What do you think of my new hotspot? Please leave a comment below.
