Yes today it’s time for my complete review about the Mother Goose Hotel Utrecht. For me it’s by far a good hotel with beautiful rooms – good designs and perfect details.
First some story about Mother Goose Hotel. They opened their doors in June 2014 and renovate two infamous squatter buildings at Ganzenmarkt in Utrecht. Their goal was to create an unique and beautiful lodgings for Mother Goose and her guests. They didn’t want to design just an ordinary hotel like any other. Also the design is stylish, warm and inspiring, with a bit of humour, modern and with respect for the history of the buildings, but also a perfect and no-nonsense service. These are characteristics of Mother Goose.
In the first quarter of 2015 they were rewarded the internationally recognized Green Key environmental certificate (certificate ‘Silver’) cause sustainability was the third, and very important, principle. During the renovation they used the most modern techniques when it comes to sustainability.
When you enter the the Mother Goose hotel also their the interior is really cosy. With some earth tones. Great service and a elevator that brings you to the different floors.
Mother Goose has now 23 rooms which are divided over 4 floors. All the rooms are very unique have and distinctive details. Also they suggest to book every time an different room when you are staying at Mother Goose.
Let’s talk about the floors:
1. White Goose: It is white, light, airy and a little bit rough.
2. Grey Goose Floor: Calming tones of grey, consequently implemented in all details.
3. Brown Goose Floor: Gorgeous brown and earth tones, with a warm and robust appeal.
4. Black Goose Floor: Is the upper floor. Has some beautiful anthracite tones, combined with matted black varnish. Who would not like to spend the night here, especially with such a phenomenal view of the Dom Tower and the historic city centre of Utrecht!
We had a room at the White Goose Floor. Every room has: an Flat screen tv, free and fast wifi, Airconditioning, ventilation and heating, luxurious guest amenities by Paul Schulten and a bottle of water upon arrival. Also you could choose between different rooms: the Small Mother Goose room, Medium and Large Mother Goose and of course Mother Goose Suites.
But let’s talk about our room. It was really amazing. It’s was of course white, but so beautiful. Every detail was perfect. We had the Medium Goose Room. Our room didn’t has an bathroom but the sink was middle in the room which was really funny. Of course you had a private shower. For us that was a down side cause we are just friends and when you left the shower you were naked but for partners it’s okay. But like I said the room was perfect.
As you can see the room is very bright and modern. I like the fact that they put the M from Mother Goose in the rooms but also outside the rooms pictures from Utrecht.
Also a big plus is that Mother Goose hotel is located in the centre of Utrecht. So within minutes, you can walk to the Dom and the world famous canals with their wharf cellars and terraces which situated alongside the water. But also good when you wanna go out in the night within one minute your back at your room – and don’t forget while shopping brings all your shopping bags to your room.
